Well, let's talk. I have a story. You can call it a motivational story or maybe a bullshit.
I don't mind. It's your call.
I used to be a cynical person. I like to think negatively.
In my head, i used to say "ya udah lah pikir yang jelek-jeleknya aja biar siap sama resiko terburuk, kalo ternyata hasilnya bagus ya Alhamdulillah".
Kids, don't follow that kind of craps!
Semakin dewasa, life would teach you so many things and make you wiser (hmm..hopefully).
Satu hal yang bisa disimpulkan:

Gw pun akhirnya percaya akan hal ini setelah hampir separuh hidup gw, gw habiskan dengan menjadi orang yang skeptis dan sinis.
Kenapa gw bisa percaya dan menuliskan kata-kata tadi bukan tanpa bukti.
Sugesti? Mungkin.
But here are the stories...
One of my greatest friend made me believe about the power of mind.
Dia seorang perempuan biasa dengan zodiak yang sama dengan gw. Satu ciri khas dari zodiak kami adalah RUNGSINGAN.
Apa itu rungsingan? Nanti aja ya kapan-kapan dijelasinnya. Panjang dan sulit dijelaskan dengan kata-kata.
Well anyway, this particular girl has this deeply feeling for a guy.
She fell in love with this guy and it's getting deeper and deeper everyday.
Unfortunately, this guy wasn't really into her but they have to be at the same place for most of time because they have things to do together.
Basically, it sucks!
You have to be around someone you love (who didn't feel the same) almost everyday.
But for her, it's a bless.
She said "ngga apa apa lah. Bisa ngeliat dia setiap hari, becanda-becanda aja gw udah seneng kok".
Many of her friends told her to stop.
They said "Udahlah! Mau sampe kapan? Move on aja lah! You deserve someone better atau lo bakal capek sendiri nanti"
She didn't listen. In her mind she always says "Ngga kok. Gw yakin nanti gw pasti bakal sama dia. Gw percaya kok"
She took all the pain. She cried for so many times. She hold it by her self and keep hanging because she still believes it.
Two years later...
I went to see her to catch up after been busy with our own things.
I asked her "Hey, your tweet indicates something. You look happy. So who's that lucky guy?"
Surprisingly, she told me all the stories.
Penantian dua tahunnya terbayar justru di saat orang-orang akan mundur dan menyerah (in fact, itu juga yang hampir dilakukannya).
Dia bilang dia udah sampe di titik dimana pada akhirnya dia bertindak dan mengambil sikap dengan segala resikonya.
Di satu sisi dia pasrah, di sisi lain she keeps believing her positive thought.
Dan semua hal yang pernah dia bayangin dan dia harapin kejadian, terjadi!
Almost exactly the same like the way she wanted it (even better i think).
Dua tahun dengan kepercayaan dan postive thinking, and there you go! She hits the jackpot!
She said "Tuh! Lo harus percaya sama mind power. Justru di saat keadaan seolah-olah mengharuskan lo buat nyerah, di saat itulah lo harus bertahan dan stay positive"
And i've seen them both. They're a cute couple.
This story was just a part of the reason why i believe in the power of mind.
I had talked to many people.
Grown up people.
Many happy people are people who think positively.
They said "when you believe in something, the process will be hard. But hang on and keep your faith. Universe will hear and help to make your dream comes true"
Banyak hal di hidup ini yang tanpa disadari juga hasil dari mind power gw selama ini.
Dulu, gw cuma mahasiswa biasa yang ke kampus naik angkutan umum.
Setiap tahun gw punya ritual mengantarkan kado buat temen baik gw.
Tahun pertama kuliah gw dateng nganter kado naik angkutan umum.
Temen kampusnya bilang "Gila! Niat amat nganter kado doang buat lo"
Tahun kedua kuliah gw dateng lagi nganter kado naik motor.
Temen kampusnya bilang "Buset! Tahun lalu naik angkutan umum, sekarang naik motor. Tahun depan jangan-jangan dia naik mobil cuma buat anter kado"
Tahun ketiga kuliah...
Yak! Tepat seperti yang dikatakan temen kampusnya. Gw dateng bawa kado naik mobil kesayangan gw.
Temen gw pun cuma bisa senyum-senyum.
Hal kecil yang juga merubah cara pandangnya yang ngga kalah skeptis dari gw.
Banyak hal-hal kecil lainnya yang terjadi.

- Dulu, gw pernah bilang sama diri gw sendiri "Kalo Imogen Heap sampe konser di Indonesia, GW HARUS DATENG GIMANA PUN CARANYA!" (Pada saat itu kayanya ngga mungkin aja gitu Imogen Heap bisa konser di Indonesia). Hasilnya: Gw lagi ngga punya uang sama sekali pada saat tiket resmi Imogen Heap dijual. Tapi gw tetep yakin (dan berdoa) kalo gw akan nonton. Sekitar H-2 gw pun mendapatkan 2 tiket konser Imogen Heap GRATIS.
- Selain Imogen Heap kejadian yang sama juga terjadi di konser Muse. Hampir ngga kesampean tapi gw tetep yakin gw bakal nonton. And it happened. I got free tickets from a great friend of mine.
- This is one of my greatest friend and me story. Both of us was dying to see N.E.R.D concert. But again, mahasiswa-mahasiswa kere ini ngga punya cukup modal. Waktu itu masih konser N.E.R.D pertama (rencananya). Hari H kita pun cuma bisa sumpah serapah dan sok yakin kalo konsernya ngga bakal jadi. My friend said "Ahhh pasti batal konsernya! Gw ngga rela!" Hasilnya: Konser tersebut batal beberapa jam setelah dia mengeluarkan statement tersebut. Dan ketika N.E.R.D dikabarin bakal konser di Jakarta (this one was for real) dia pun sedih karena belom punya uang buat beli tiket. Until that day i called her and said "Kalo gw kasih tiket NERD gratis lo mau ngga?" She was shocked and being silent for a while until she screamed "Ya mau lah nyet!!!" (somehow the word "nyet" kedengeran sangat manis saat itu) and then we went to the concert and she was like a little kid who got a new toy (the coolest one).
And the latest thing that woke me up and said "Damn!!! It was part of my mind power" was:
Hmm...
This one is the sweetest mind power that happened to me so far.
I won't share it.
Let me keep this one for me :)
So people,
I do believe in the power of mind.
I do believe that positive thinking will be heard by the universe
I do believe that universe will conspire to make your dream come true if you truly have faith (and keep praying)
Just like my friend said:
